This module deals with the understanding of light and power circuits in residential/commercial units. It includes topics regarding wiring systems, lighting systems, power wiring systems, PEC regulations on light and power wiring systems. Laboratory activities are provided to verify and practice learned principles.
Upon completion of the program, participants must be able to:
(a) Measure electrical parameters using electrical instruments;
(b) Interpret electrical blueprints;
(c) Perform roughing-in activities;
(d) Install of electrical lighting systems, auxiliary outlets and lighting fixtures;
(e) Install lighting circuits and wiring devices;
(e) Troubleshoot light and power circuits.
