This course is all about the study of the different control and power components of typical industrial electronic systems and how they are integrated into industrial electronic circuits. Topics include the study of power devices like thyristors and MOSFETs in converters and inverters which drives motors and the control and triggering circuit associated with them. Aside from these, additional topics on signal conditioning, operational amplifiers, micro controllers, and opto isolators are also included.
Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to: 1. Practice occupational health and safety procedures 2. Identify and test control system components 3. Construction and test power control circuits 4. Construction and test signal conditioning circuits 5. Construction and test the control circuits for electronic input and output devices
