Modern manufacturing lines shows no signs of slowing down in terms of using automation technologies to lower costs, improve product quality, and increase production capacity. These manufacturing facilities make use of robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and sophisticated electrical systems. Mechatronics technicians have a good grasp of these complex systems, allowing them to perform critical maintenance and repairs.
Now that the Philippines is poised to attract a lot of investors in its manufacturing sector, the need for people who look after these automated facilities is going to increase.
After a year of intensive in-school training, students will be deployed to partner companies like Unilever, AMG Systemtechnik, Great Wall Machinery & Manufacturing, Industech Automation Systems, Cummins Sales and Services, to name a few to complete their 1,440 hours of on-the-job training where most trainees get to be employed afterwards.
