Taking the Mechatronics NCII specialization will equip the students with the skills to:

  • Explain the working principles in different pneumatic and hydraulic elements and their applications
  • Read/interpret various mechatronics diagrams including electrical pneumatic, hydraulics and electro-pneumatic
  • Inspect various mechatronics devices such as programmable logic controllers, stepper and servo motors, frequency drives, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, directional valves, switches, timers and counters
  • Install, test and configure various mechatronics devices
  • Hook-up, simulate and troubleshoot various mechatronic circuits
