PHP (recursive acronym for “PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor”) is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML. The course is intended for aspiring and experienced web developers and programmers. To enhance students learning, the course will focus mainly on the creation of a threaded workshop. After the course, the students will be able to come-up with a web site that interacts with a MySQL Database (also an Open Source Product).

(a) Installing PHP on Apache; (b) Creating PHP files; (c) Embedding HTML tags on PHP or vice versa; (d) Declaring Variables; (e) Understanding POST and GET methods; (f) Working with PHP data types and operators; (g)Working with conditional and loop statements; (h) Working with PHP arrays;
(i) Understanding require and include functions; (j) Defining functions and Calling functions; (k) Constructing Text Strings; (l)Parsing strings;
(m) Comparing strings; (n) Handling Form submissions; (o) Opening and Closing File streams; (p) Writing and reading data to and from files;
(q) Managing files and directories; (r) Installing MySql; (s) Working with MySQL databases; (t) Managing user accounts; (u) Defining tables; (v) Working with records

a. Completion of MFI’s Program Logic Formulation with C++ course, or;
b. Pass the pre-course evaluation
